Lantagne, 75, a native of Biddeford, Maine, and resident of Houma, died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Samart Funeral Home in Bayou Blue. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife, Cecile Breaux Lantagne; one son, Brian Lantagne; six stepsons, Daniel, Dale, Herman, Terry, Andre' and Thaddeaux McElroy III; five daughters, Kathy Lantagne Stringham, Guen Breaux, Robin McElroy, Lisa Hill and Roxanne Hood; one sister, Dorothy Lantagne Leacera; three grandchildren; and 56 step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Elaine Lantagne. He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, where he received two Purple Heart medals. He was a member of AMVETS and Disabled American Veterans. He was retired and was Catholic.
