Roosevelt Nevers

Roosevelt T. Nevers Sr., 72, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of 
Houma, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Residence Baptist 
Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. at the church, with burial in Southdown 
Cemetery.

He is survived by two sons, Harold Nevers and Roosevelt Nevers Jr. and wife, 
Barbara King; one daughter, Laura D. Nevers Adams and husband, Ben; three 
brothers, Robert Nevers, John Nevers and wife, Rosemary, and Alonzo Nevers, and 
wife, Linnie Pearl; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Adrienne Moses Nevers; his parents, Alfred 
and Annie Collins Nevers; one daughter, Michelle Nevers; six brothers, Clarence, 
Alfred, Ruben, J.B., George Sr., and Raymond Nevers; four sisters, Nonie B. 
Nevers-Campbell, Helene Bell Nevers-Lyons, Mercedes Nevers and Clara Mae Nevers.

He worked for Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government. He was a U.S. Army 
Veteran and a parishioner of Residence Baptist Church.
