Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Friday at the Nalley-Pickle and Welch Rosewood Chapel, with interment at Trinity Memorial Park, both in Big Spring. She is survived by her husband, A.R. Mayo of Big Spring; three sons, Patrick Mayo and wife, Beverly, of Midland, Texas, Michael Mayo and wife, Brenda, of Garland, Texas, Bobby Joe Mayo and wife, Diane, of Miles, Texas; two daughters, Dorothy Gray and husband, Borden, of Gail, Texas, and Susan Reed and husband, Sammy, of Midland; one brother, Merlin Avet of Houma; one sister, Mercedes Turner of Houma; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oneizeppe and Heloise Avet and two brothers, Royce Avet and O.J. Avet. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home in Big Spring is in charge of arrangements.
