Velma Toups						[Photo]

Velma Dufrene Toups, 89, a native of Gheens, a former resident of New Orleans 
and resident of Gheens, died at 3:15 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, 2005.

Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time 
Tuesday at St. Anthony in Gheens. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, 
with interment in Holy Savior Mausoleum.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia and Susan Toups.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Irwin Toups; her parents, 
Clema Blaise Dufrene and Bernadette Falgout Dufrene; two brothers, Earl J. 
Dufrene and Carter S. Dufrene; and one sister, Ella M. Dupuy.

She was a parishioner of St. Anthony in Gheens.
