Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Prayer service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by his wife, Loris Olivier Dupre of Houma; one son, Walter Dupre Jr. and wife, Connie, of Houma; six daughters, Judy Trahan and husband, Jan, of Dulac, Carol Dupre, Sharon Pellegrin and husand, Johnny, of Houma, Laura Collins and husband, Brian, of Dulac, Marylyn Dean of Texas, and Torey Hebb and husband, Terry, of Houma; one sister, Eve Benoit of Houma; one sister-in-law, Roberta Dupre of Houma; 20 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gloria Trosclair Dupre; his parents, Leo Dupre and Eva Brunet Dupre; one son-in-law, Robert "Bob" Dean; and four brothers, Paul, Adam, Edmond and Joseph Dupre. He was a retired foreman with Louisiana Department of Transportation and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church.
