Alton Bush Sr., 67, a native of Napoleonville and a resident of Gray, died 
Sunday, June 29, 2008, in New Orleans. Visiting at Bright Morning Star Baptist 
Church, Napoleonville, on Monday, July 7, from 9 a.m. until religious service 
at 11 a.m. Burial in the church cemetery. Survived by his two sons, Dewayne 
and Alton Bush Jr., both of New Orleans; daughter, Debra Bush, of New Orleans; 
three brothers, Arthur Bush Jr., Albert and Chris Johnson; four sisters, 
Catherine J. Batiste, Sandra J. Carter, Janet J. Thomas and Margaret Johnson. 
Also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, 
nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, 
Estelle Lewis Bush Johnson and Arthur Bush Sr.; stepfather, Arthur Johnson 
Sr.; and two stepchildren, Lisa and Joyce Bush. He was a member of Bright 
Morning Star Baptist church choir and the male chorus. Arrangements by 
Williams & Southall Funeral Home, Napoleonville.
