Visitation will be held from 5 p.m.-10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Religious services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Ernest Louis Chauvin, Jr.; two sons, Ernest L. Chauvin III of LaPlace, La., and Daniel Chauvin of Houma; a daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Delores) Boudreaux of Houma; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Augustave and Eveline Bourg Fields; and a sister, Mrs. Allen (Lydia) Redmond. She was a parishioner or St. Francis de Sales Catherdral. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to any recognized association that fights heart disease, cancer or diabetes. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Samart Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Cemetery. He is survived by one son, Daniel P. Chauvin; three daughters, Carolyn Unthank, Laurie Daigrepont and Jean Faciane; one brother, Ernest L. Chauvin III; one sister, Delores Boudreaux; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Phillips Chauvin; and his parents, Ernest L. and Cecil F. Chauvin. He was a U.S. Merchant Marines veteran, a member of Unity Lodge No. 267 F & AM, a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Shriner's Jerusalem, Temple. A Mass is set for Monday at 11 am at St. Louis Catholic Church in Bayou Blue with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by one son, Ray J. Main street Tuesday at 10:45 p.m. He was the husband of the late Augustine Elizabeth Chauvin, and is survived by eight children, Arthur, Claude, Ernest, Jr., Bessie, Genevieve, Mrs. Martin Fabregas and Mrs. Edmund Foolkes. Mass was at 10 a.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home Chapel with burial in St. Francis de Sales No. 1 Cemetery. Chauvin Rites at 4 p.m. Today Last rites were held today at 4 p.m. at the St. Francis de Sales church for Joseph Theophile Chauvin, 74 years old, who died at his residence on Academy St. September 18, at 1:50 p.m. The deceased, a native of this parish, leaves one sister, Mrs. J. K. Aitkens. Mr. Chauvin was a brick layer and at one time was on the local Police force. Besides his wife, he leaves two children, Miss Lettie and Lummy Chauvin of this city, one brother, Theophile, of Chicago and a sister Mrs. Aitkens of Houma. Funeral services were held at the St. Francis de Sales Church, on Wednesday at 4 o'clock pm. Mr. CHAUVIN was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clay CHAUVIN and a lifelong resident of Houma. He was unmarried and lived with his parents. His death is mourned by a large number of friends and relatives in this parish. CHAUVIN (nee Marcelite DASPIT DE ST. AMAND) aged 88 years died Thursday afternoon at 2:10 o'clock at the (residence?) of her daughter, Mrs. H. C. HARLAN 824 High Street. Mrs CHAUVIN had been in ill health for a long time and (bore?) her sufferings with Christian fortitude. Her death has cast a (gloom?) over the entire community where she was well known and beloved by a legion of friends. The end came peacefully as she was perfectly resigned to her fate in answer to the call of the Great Redeemer. The funeral services were held at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Houma Friday at 4 pm with interment in the Catholic Cemetery. She is survived by three sons and two daughters Messrs. Louis, Theophile and Clay CHAUVIN, Mrs. H. C. HARLAN and Mrs. J. K. AITKENS. The Times joins the bereaved relatives in their hour of great sorrow.
