Daigle The Houma Times; May 25, 1929 Joseph E. CROCHET Mr. Joseph E. CROCHET, age 38 years of age, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed CROCHET of this city, died suddenly at a New Orleans hospital where he was under treatment, on Friday May 17th, at 6:15 o'clock am. His remains were brought to Houma for burial in the Magnolia Cemetery. Funeral services were held at the St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Houma, on Saturday May 19th, at 4 o'clock pm. Mr. CROCHET was formerly employed as assistant telegraph operator by the Western Union Telegraph Co., here and was later employed as manager of the Little Caillou Fish & Oyster Co. The news of his death has caused great sorrow to his many friends and acquaintances in Houma and Terrebonne Parish. Mr. CROCHET is survived by his father and mother, and one sister and two brothers.
