Houma Ceres, November 15, 1855
DIED--Last week, of the prevailing epidemic, at the residence of her mother, in 
Ascension Parish, Miss TELCIDIA DOMINIQUE, aged about sixteen years.

This young lady, whose soul has taken flight to the regions of the blessed--it 
was our privilege of being well acquainted with. She possessed an unusual order 
of talent--was kind and affectionate in her disposition, and withal had a gay 
and lively spirit. It was but a few short months since she returned from school, 
where the utmost care and attention had been bestowed on her education--and had 
just emerged into the world, and taken her place among the brightest ornaments 
of society. The void which her death has created in the feelings of her parents 
and her numerous friends, can with difficulty be filled.

We extend to her afflicted parents our most heartfelt condolence.
