Houma Ceres, November 15, 1855
DIED.--At his residence near Plaquemine, on Sunday the 4th day of November, of the 
yellow fever, PAUL DUPUY, in the 76th year of his age. 

Mr. Dupuy was one of the oldest and most respected of our citizens. Born in this 
parish, he had by his industry and an honest course of life, amassed considerable 
wealth, which he appropriated to settling his family in life. Mr. D.'s connections 
are commensurate with the extent of the Parish. With all the old families was he 
allied, and he has left, as it were, a whole community to mourn his loss.
