The date preceding the obituary is the date of the newspaper, not the date of death. ============================ Submitted by: Nancy Wright The Houma Courier, Thursday, September 21, 1944, Sec. 2, page 1, col. 3 Vital Statistics Henry Klingman Last rites were held at the Sacred Heart church Montegut at a solemn high requiem mass at 9 a.m. Monday for Henry Klingman, 89 years who died at his residence there Sunday morning. Mr. Klingman, a native of this parish was a prominent merchant in that section of the parish and well-known throughout this area. He leaves nine children six daughters, Mrs. Paul Cenac of Houma; Mrs. H. P. Daigle of New Orleans; Mrs. C. J. Cleasy, California; Mrs. D. J. Murphy, New Orleans; Louise Klingman of Montegut; and Astugue Klingman of New Orleans; and three sons Morris of Texas; and Henry, Jr. of Montegut. He was the father of the late Elie Klingman and Mrs. Deek[?] Arceneaux. He had sixteen grandchildren. Interment was in the St. Francis de Sales cemetery, Houma. Funeral arrangements were by the Segura Funeral Home. ===========================
