Mahaffey, 86, a native of Houma and a resident of Princeton, La., died on Thursday, Jan. 9, 1992. The funeral was held Saturday at the Centuries Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Shreveport with interment in the Centuries Memorial Cemetery. She is survived by one brother, Elias Trosclair of Houma; and three sisters, Bessie Boudreaux of Dularge, Marie Trosclair and Anna Lee Evans, both of Princeton, La. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harmon "Happy" H. Mahaffey. She was a member of Haughton Baptist Church and taught Sunday school. She served for a number of years as a member of the Bossier Parish Library Board and taught in the rural schools in the Houma area. ============================
