The Houma Times; Saturday Feb. 28, 1920 

Cora Marie STERKEN
Mrs. C. M. MAIRE (nee Cora Marie STERKEN) 33 years died in a Sanatorium Tuesday 
morning Feb. 24, 1920 at 5 o'clock after being ill a short time with 
pneumonia.  
The funeral service took place in the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in 
Houma, Wednesday, Feb. 22 on the arrival of the morning train.
She was a resident of this city and the mother of seven children.  
Her husband Mr. Nick Maire, who is employed in New Orleans, accompanied the 
body to Houma.
