ALFRED G. MARTIN    The Houma Times; Saturday June 15, 1929 

Mr. Alfred MARTIN, aged 61 years, well known and highly esteemed citizen of 
this parish, died Monday morning at One O'clock.  Funeral services were held at 
St. Ann Catholic Church, Bourg, LA on Tuesday morning, with interment in the 
Catholic Cemetery.
He is survived by his aged mother, Mrs. Averis MARTIN, who is now in her 80's, 
his wife and fourteen children, five sons and nine daughters;  six sisters and 
one brother.  The sons are:  Gilbert, Magnair, Clifford, Oneil and Whitney 
MARTIN;  daughters, Sadie, Ann, Jarmine, May B and Wildia MARTIN, Mrs. Harry 
BABIN, Mrs Scuddy DARSEY, Mrs. Louis MAGARAC (sic Mazerac), and Mrs. H. O. 
BROWN.
