SLVFR - from South Louisiana Vital Family Records by Terrebonne Genealogicial Society ============================ The Houma Times; Saturday August 10, 1929 Mrs. Auristille Naquin Mrs. Auristille Naquin, aged 77 years, died at her residence on Bayou du Large, Monday August 5, after an illness of a few days. Mrs. Naquin was a native of the parish and her passing is deeply mourned by a large circle of relatives and friends. She was the devoted mother of a large family and a friend to all who knew her. The funeral services were held at St. Eloi Catholic Church on Bayou Duarge (sic Dularge)) Tuesday, August 6, at 6 o'clock pm with Rev. Father August Vanderbilt of Houma officiating. Interment took place in the Catholic Cemetery in Dularge. The deceased is survived by her husband, Mr. Auristille Naquin and 8 children, 3 sons, Tojean, Lenard, and Alex Naquin of Bayou Dularge; 5 daughters, Mrs. Dennis Thibodeaux of Centerville, and Miss Amelia Naquin, Mrs. Anderson Lovell, Mrs. Howard Babin and Mrs. Edmond Lovell of Houma. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. ANNOTATION: SLR v. 5, p.363 & 282 THERIOT, Alfreida (Theogene THERIOT & Octavie THIBODEAUX) m. 20 Feb 1871 Aristide NAQUIN (Bazile NAQUIN & Adele AYO); Houma Ch.: v. 4, #97. ============================ The Houma Times; December 14, 1929 Aurestile NAQUIN Mr. Auristile NAQUIN, aged 84 years, died at his residence on December 6, at 6:00 o'clock. He was a native of Terrebonne Parish and leaves a large circle of friends and relatives to mourn his death. Mr. Naquin had been an invalid for nearly 40 years and at no time did he complain of his condition. His wife, who was Miss Alfaida THERIOT before marriage, preceded him to the grave by excally four months. She was also native of this parish. The funeral services were held Saturday, December 7 at 10 o'clock mass at St. Eloi Catholic Church Bayou Dularge, with Rev. ___ Miller officiating. Interment took place in the St. Eloi Cemetery. The deceased is survived by 3 sons, Alex, Leonard and Toujean; ___ daughters, Mrs. Howard BABIN, Mrs. Anderson LOVELL, Mrs Edmond LOVELL of Houma, Mrs Dounis THIBODEAUX of Centerville, LA and Miss Amelia NAQUIN of Bayou Dularge. ============================
