SCHMIDT Called to Eternal Rest After an illness of several months duration, Mrs. Fred W. SCHMIDT nee Philo (CASLALA?) aged (75?) years died at her home in Houma last Wednesday evening at ___ o'clock. Mrs SCHMIDT was a native of (France?) reared and educated under French decipline which left her with the (refined?) characteristic of the ___ christian woman of France. She was accompanied to America by Mrs. F. GOUAUX of this city who visited relatives in France 11 years ago and she was employed at the GOUAUX residence for a number of years. Later she was married to Mr. Fred W. SCHMIDT, leading music teacher in this city who is a reputable violinist and an estimable gentleman. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Father Vanderbuilt in the Catholic Church Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with interment in the Catholic Cemetery. ANNOTATION: SLVFR v. 4, p. 222; Fred W.
