Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home of Houma. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Chauvin. She is survived by a son, Donnie Sevin of Houma; a daughter, Mrs. Merle Lirette of Chauvin; three sisters, Mrs. Ruby D. Duplantis, Mrs. Hilda D. Smith and Mrs. Olive D. Guidry, all of Houma; six grandchildren; and nine great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Sevin; her parents, Albert and Eva Bergeron Duplantis; two brothers, Abby and Lindsey Duplantis; and a sister Mrs. Ernie D. Dupre. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church ========================== Lena Marie Lajaunie Sevin Houma Courier Deaths, 1996, page 156 Lena Marie Lajaunie Sevin, 82, a native of Chauvin and resident of Montegut, died at 6:55 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 1996. Visitation will be from 4 to 10 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. to funeral rime Monday at the Montegut Fire Station. Mass is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by five sons, Errol Joseph Sevin of Houston, Texas, Brent Ovile James Sevin of Chauvin, Wester Joseph Sevin, Jr. of Bourg, Dwight Anthony Sevin of Spring, Texas, and Rory Timothy Sevin of Baton Rouge; one daughter, Mrs. Alfred (June Carol Marie) O'Dowd Jr. of Chauvin; one brother, Harold Lajaunie of Alexandria; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Webster Joseph Sevin, Sr.; parents, Emile Alexander and Evila Lucy Bourg LaJaunie; four brothers; three sisters; and one granddaughter, Rebecca Ann Sevin Aucoin. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of the Homemakers Club of Montegut.
