SLVFR - from South Louisiana Vital Family Records by Terrebonne Genealogicial Society ============================ The Houma Times; Saturday March 23, 1929, Charles Edgar THOMAS Mr. Charles Edgar THOMAS, prominent merchant and business man of Houma, age 69 years, was called to eternal slumber at his home here on Monday, March 18th, 1929 at 4 o'clock following an attack of acute indigestion. Mr. THOMAS moved from Ellendale to Houma about 16 years ago to open a grocery in this city. He was charitable and kind hearted and his passing will be deeply mourned. The funeral services were held at St. Mathews Episcopal Church, here on Tuesday, March 19th at 3 pm. Interment took place in the Magnolia Cemetery.
