The Houma Times; Saturday August 10, 1929 

Rosairo VAIANA

Mr. Rosairo Vaiana, aged 92 years and 8 months, a native of Italy, died at his 
home here on Tuesday, August 6, 1929, at 7 o'clock am, after an illness of long 
duration.  
Mr. VAIANA was a member of the St. Joseph's Italian Society of which members of 
the society attended the funeral.
Interment took place in the Catholic Cemetery, following funeral services at 
St. Francis de Sales Church in Houma, Wednesday at 9:00 o'clock am.

ANNOTATION: 
1900 Terrebonne Parish, LA census; Ward 3, Fam. #1467: 
Rosaria VAIMA, age 53 b. Jan 1847, m. 11 yrs. and rents their home. Antoina, 
wife, age 53 b. Jan 1847, m. 11 yrs, had 8 children-2 still living.  
Groucchino, son of 15 b. Feb 1885.  All in this home and their parents were 
born in Italy.
