File prepared and contributed by Mary Anne Williams; file formatted by Karen Mabry Rice. =============================================================================================== =============================================================================================== From Farmerville go south on Highway 33. Turn left on Highway 15. Go to Highway 552 and turn left. Go past just past Mt. Ararat Cemetery, and the cemetery is off the road on the left about 200 feet inside a chain link fence. There are only a few graves in this cemetery. We found 2 gravesites with foot markers, but no headstones. There was also a small wooden fenced-in gravesite covered with a shingled-roof top on it. Inside this enclosure were 2 markers: "infant twin of William Rufus and Mandy Hodge King" and "Mary Ellafair King 1854-1969, daughter of J W and Sarah King - 1st grave in cemetery." The date of death must be incorrect. I think it should be 1859 if it was the first grave in the cemetery due to the dates of death of the other occupants of the cemetery. In "MISC INFO" column, "ho" means husband of, and "wo" means wife of. If there was a veterans marker, it is noted in the MISC INFO with rank and branch of service and where served as shown on the actual marker. Notes too large to put in miscellaneous info are noted by number and appear at bottom. =========================================================================================== =========================================================================================== LAST FIRST MID.
