File prepared, contributed and surveyed in April 2006 by Larry and Mary Anne Williams. File formatted for posting by Karen Mabry Rice. =============================================================================================== =============================================================================================== From Marion take Highway 143 South toward Sterlington. Just before the old Linville School, take a left on Alabama Landing Road. Follow this for quite a way to Dean Church Road. Turn left and follow this road to Dub McKinnie Road and turn right. Go a short distance and you will see an abandoned white house on the right at 169 Dub McKinnie Road. Just past the house is a gate going into a pasture. You can see the tops of some of the headstones from the road. There is a "no trespassing" sign on the gate. If you enter this gate you can drive up to the cemetery by following the road to the right. The grass is nearly waist high on the road going up to the cemetery and in the cemetery. Thanks to Delores Tousinau and her husband from Slidell, Louisiana, for providing directions to this cemetery. She advised that the Union Parish cemetery book made in 1977 states that some graves were marked with petrified rocks which they saw on their visit to the cemetery. That book said there were at least 17 graves with markers, which is the same number we found. The grass was so thick and high that we could not even see the petrified rock markers. =============================================================================================== Abbreviations: do-daughter of; so-son of; wo-wife of. =============================================================================================== LAST NAME FIRST NAME MID.
