Alphine, Dec'd., Union Parish Louisiana Union Parish Louisiana Succession Book F, pp. 495 - 496 ================================================================================== ================================================================================== To the Honorable Judge of the 11th Judicial District Court for Union Parish, State of Louisiana. The petition of John R. Farrar, a resident of your State and Parish respectfully represents unto your Honor that Andrew J. Alphine, late a resident of said Parish departed this life during the year 1864 intestate leaving a small Estate and some minor heirs. That said Estate has never been administered and remains in unsettled condition, that petitioner is a creditor of said Estate and interested in having it administered and settled up, that as yet no one has applied for the administration and that Petitioner see no chance of getting his rights as a creditor without administering himself. Wherefore petitioner prays your honor that W. C. Smith, Parish Recorder and Ex Officio Notary Public be ordered to make an inventory of the effects of said Estate and there after the advertisement &c. Your petitioner be duly appointed Administrator of the Estate of said A. J. Alphine, Decd. upon his complying with the requirements of law. For all other orders and decrees necessary in the premises and for general relief. R. W. Futch, Atty. State of Louisiana Parish of Union Let the prayer of Petitioner be granted and it is hereby ordered that John L. Farrar be and he is hereby duly and legally appointed Administrator of the Estate of A. J. Alphine, Decd. upon his giving bond and taking the oath prescribed by law. Farrar to be appointed Administrator of the Estate of Andrew J. Alphine be advertised according to law and it is further ordered that William C. Smith, Parish Recorder and Ex Officio Notary Public proceed to make an Inventory and Appraisement of all the property belonging to the said Estate and due return thereof make to this office.
