The Petition of Dicey McLendon Bagwell, wife and surviving widow of Warren Bagwell, late deceased of the aforesaid Parish and State respectfully shows that her said husband, Warren Bagwell, lately departed this life at his residence in the aforesaid Parish of Union, leaving a small estate consisting of land and personal property, rights, debts and credits. The Estate is somewhat in debt and an Administration is necessary. Petitioner alleges that she is partner in the community of assets and gains existing between herself and her deceased husband at the time of his death and that all of the property now on hand is community property. Wherefore she prays that she be appointed Administrator of the Estate of Warren Bagwell, Decd. after the legal delays and advertisements upon her complying with the law. That an appraisement and inventory be made of the property of said Estate for all orders necessary in the premises and for general relief &c. Jno. L. Barrett, Atty. State of Louisiana 11th Jucdicial District Court Parish of Union The premises considered it is ordered and decreed that the within application of Dicey Bagwell to be appointed Admrx. of the Estate of Warren Bagwell decd. be advertised according to law. It is further ordered that the Recorder of the Parish of Union be and he is authorized to make an inventory and appraisement of the property belonging to the said Estate of Warren Bagwell, decd. and due return thereof make to this office without delay. Done and signed in office on this the 15th day of November AD 1862. W. C. Smith, Deputy Clerk State of Louisiana 11th Jucdicial District Court Parish of Union The premises considered and by reason of the proper advertisement having been made and no opposition filed thereto. It is thereto ordered, adjudged and decreed that Dicey M. Bagwell be and she is hereby appointed Administratrix of the estate of Warren Bagwell, Decd. and upon her giving bond with good security and taking the oath prescribed by law, that letters do issue to her. Done and signed in office on this 13th day of January AD 1863. D. Arent Deputy Clerk State of Louisiana 11th Jucdicial District Court Parish of Union I, Dicey M. Bagwell, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully and impartially discharge all and singular the duties incumbent on me as Administratrix of the Estate of Warren T. Bagwell has been duly and legally appointed Administratrix of the Estate of Warren Bagwell, Decd. and she has given bond and good security and taken the oath prescribed by law. Now thereofre the said Dicey M. Bagwell is hereby duly and legally authorized and empowered to discharge all the duties appertaining to said appointment according to law. Given under my hand and seal of office on this 12th day of January 1864 D. Arent, Deputy Clerk State of Louisiana 11th District Court Parish of Union Know all men by these presents that we Dicey M. Bagwell as principal and John Feazel as her security are held and firmly bound unto W. B. Eagan, Judge of the Eleventh Judicial District Court aforesaid in the just and real sum of Seven Thousand Eight Hundred ($7800.00) Dollars to the true and faithful payment thereof well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves our heirs, assigns, representatives, executors &c firmly by these presents. Dated Farmerville, January 13th 1864. The conditions of the above obligation is such that whereas the above bounden Dicey M. Bagwell has been duly and legally appointed Administratrix of the Estate of Warren Bagwell, Decd. and she hath taken the oath prescribed by law. Now therefore if the said Dicey M. Bagwell shall faithfully and impartially discharged all and singular the debts incumbent on her as Administratrix of said Estate and shall faithfully account to the Judge of said court for all monies or property received belonging to said estate from this or any other State and shall render a true and faithful acount of all her acts and doings in and about said Estate to the Judge of said Court and whenever legally required so to do to pay over all sums of money and deliver all the property of whatever nature belonging to said Estate to the proper person or persons to receive the same, then the above obligation is to be null and void, otherwise to be and remain in full force and effect. Smith, Parish Recorder and Ex Officio Notary Public in and for the Parish of Union, State of Louisiana directed and repaired to the late residence of Warren Bagwell, Decd. late of the parhish of Union and being assisted by John Feazel and Michael Feazel two good and lawful citizens of the Parish of Union who being duly appointed and sworn by me as appraisor and in the presence of two lawful witnesses proceeded to make an Inventory and Appraisement of all the property both real and personal belonging to the Estate of said Warren Bagwell, Deceased as hereafter set forth, viz.
