The petition of Lorenzo D. Barker, a resident of your Parish and State respectfully represents unto your honor that William Barker, late of said Parish departed this life on or about the 6th day of April AD 1866 leaving an Estate consisting of real and personal property, rights and credits, also leaving a widow Mary Barker and the following heirs, Neunian [?] Barker, Sims B. Barker, [unreadable] Rosamond, now a widow [unreadable] Ward, a widow, James G. Barker, William C. Barker, John W. Barker, Lorenzo D. Barker, Emily Francis Brewer, Easter A. Barker, Martha C. Barker, wife of T. G. White. Petitioner represents that no step have been taken to administer the said estate, that he is one of the beneficiary heirs. He therefore prays that an Inventory and Appraisement may be had according to law and that after due proceedings had, he may be appointed Administrator of said Estate and for such orders and decrees as may be necessary and proper. State of Louisiana Parish of Union Let the prayer of Petitioner be granted and it is allowed and decreed that the within application of Lorenzo Barker to be appointed Administrator of the Estate of William, Decd. be advertised according to law, and it is further ordered that W. C. Smith, Parish Recorder and Ex Officio Notary Public proceed to make an Inventory and appraisement of all the property belonging to the said Estate and due return thereof make to this office.
