Bilberry, Decd., Union Parish Louisiana Union Parish Louisiana Succession Book A-1, beginning on p. 161 ================================================================================= ================================================================================= Proceedings of family Meeting: Filed May 18, 1871 State of Louisiana Parish of Union I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully and impartially give my advice touching the interest of the minors heirs of E.B. Bilbery with regard to the sale etc. of a certain tract of land which said minors has an undivided interest, according to the best of my information. So help me God! Sworn to and subscribed before me John B. Robinson this the 18th. day of May A.D. 1871 B. Honeycutt James H. Tidwell W.C. Smith W.H. Kennedy G.W. Carson STATE OF LOUISIANA PARISH OF UNION Be it remembered that on this the eighteenth day of May A.D. One Thousand Eight Hundred and Seventy One pursuant to an order issued from the Honl. The Judge of the Parish Court in and for the Parish of Union State of Louisiana, bearing the date Febry. 4th, 1871. And to me William C. Smith Recorder and Ex Officio Notary Public in and for said parish directed authorizing and commanding me to convoke a Family meeting, composed of the male relatives (or in default of relatives found) of minor heirs of E.B. Bilberry to wit: Mary F., Eliz M., Elsie B., George W., Cecily G., and Jno. M. Bilbery, for the purpose of advising and recommending with reference to the sale of an interest said Minor’s has in common with the heirs of John Honeycutt decd. In a certain tract of land situated in the parish of Union containing One Hundred and Sixty acres more or less. I caused to come before me at my office in the Town of Farmerville the following persons John B. Robinson, Britten Honeycutt, James H. Tidwell, Wm. H. Kennedy and G. Wm. Carson relatives and friends of said minors, who after being duly sworn by me according to law, proceeded to deliberate and advise upon the subject matter herein stated and after mature deliberation they advise and recommend, that E.B. Bilberry natural Tutor for said minors be authorized and empowered under Article no. 2667 of the revised Statutis of LA to make a sale of the interest of said minors at private sale of the south west quarter of Section Twenty Six Township Twenty North of range One east containing 159.94/100 acres, that the sale be made for cash for the sum not less that two dollars per acre. Thus done and signed in my office in in the Town of Farmerville on this day and date above written, in presence of F. C. Smith, Recorder STATE OF LOUISIANA PARISH COURT OF UNION PARISH By reason of the Law and the evidence in the matter of the Homologation of a family meeting held by relative to the interests of the minor heirs of E.B. Bilberry it is hereby ordered adjudged and decreed that the within and foregoing proceedings of a family meeting be approved and homologated in all its parts according to law.
