The petitioner of Henry P. Anderson, a resident of said Parish and said State respectfully represents that Lindsey W. Black, late of said Parish departed this life on or about the 1st October 1864 intestate leaving an estate consisting of personal property, rights, credits and debts, also leaving one minor child. Petitioner represents that he is a creditor of the said estate and prays that an inventory and appraisement may be made according to law and that after due proceedings had, that he may be appointed administrator of said Estate and for such other orders and desires in the premises as may be necessary. Smith, Parish Recorder &c be and he is hereby authorized to make an Inventory and Appraisement of all the property belonging to the Estate of Lindsey W. Anderson as principal and James Jones as his security are held and firmly bound unto Honorable W. B. Egan, Judge of the 11th Judicial District Court in and for the Parish of Union, State of Louisiana for the time being and to his succession in office in the just and fully sum $1200.00 Dollars to the true and faithful payment whereof well and truly to be made we find ourselves, our heirs, assigns, executors and legal representatives firmly by these presents. Dated at Farmerville, Louisiana on this 26th day of December 1864. The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the Henry P. Anderson has been duly and legally appointed and confirmed as Administrator of the Estate of Lindsey W. Black, Decd. and he has taken the oath presented by law. Now therefore if the said Henry P. Anderson shall faithfully and impartially discharge all the duties incumbent on him as Administrator of said Estate and shall under to the Judge of said Court a true and correct account of all the acts and doings in and about said matter of Administrator and shall faithfully account for all moneys for other property in his hands belonging to the said Estate to the proper person or persons to receive the same, then and in that case the above obligation to be null and void. He charges himself with 1st The amount of the Inventory $867.75 2nd The amount for which cotton sold over and above inventory __406.96 Amount $1274.71 He prays to be credited by the following amounts paid out as for vouchers 1 Amount paid Est. Fees ___40.00 Amounting to $1091.68 Amount of charges $1274.71 Amount of Credits __1090.68 Balance due $ 183.03 By reference to which it will be seen that there is a balance due by the Administrator to the Estate of one hundred and eighty three dollars and three cents. Petitioner also has in hand in Confederate and State money as per account filed $1867.00 and also money as per Inventory all of which is herewith filed. Petitioner prays that this account may be filed and advertised according to law and after final proceedings had that it may be allowed and homologated according to law and for general relief. H. Black, Decd. 1st Voucher filed with said account. 2nd Thos. C. Lewis, Clerk of the District Court sworn says that the said final account was filed in the Clerk’s office on the 20th day of April 1866 and has been duly and legally advertised for more than thirty days prior to this date in the following manner, by publication in the Union Record, a newspaper published in said Parish and by a copy of the Advertisement posted at the door of the Court House in the town of Farmerville. That no opposition has been filed to the homologation of the same. Sworn to and subscribed before me this 2nd day of June 1866. H. Regenburg, J. P.
