Briggs ================================================================================== To the Honorable the Judge of the 12th Judicial District Court in and for the Parish of Union, Louisiana The Petition of Oliver H. Overstreet, Admr. of the Estate of Julia P. Briggs decd. Late of your said Parish respectfully represents that the following is a final account of his acts and doings of said Estate which is now finally administered. He charges himself with the amount of the inventory $1,876.60. Interest &c that has accrued. Whole amount of charges He prays to be credited by the following Items: Savory O. Larche, Clerk's fee $11.10 Acct. due James Moore 10.00 Tax Receipt 5.00 Thos. C. Lewis, Clerk's fee 4.35 Attys fees paid H. Regenburg 75.00 Administration Commission & printing fees 52.85 Leaving him as Administrator indebted to said estate in the sum of $[blank]. Part of this sum remains in his hands in the form of notes and accts. As he has received them and these he desires to return for portion. To Wit: James Moore notes and interest $349.55 William Day notes and interest 6.30 O. H. Overstreet 3 notes and interest 168.31 Everett & Kezee notes and interest 536.15 Easeph Parkin notes and interest 50.00 S. Morris notes and interest 11.80 Squire B. Briggs notes and interest 44.40 $1,166.51 Which sums deducted from the above sum leaves in his hands cash the sum of $[blank]. We represent that Squire B. Briggs and Martha J. Overstreet as minor child of petitioner and represented by him as the natural tutor are the only heir to the said estate. He prays that this account may be advertised according to law, and in due time homologated and complaint and for such other orders in the _______ as shall be necessary. H. Regenburg, Atty. State of Louisiana 12th Judicial Disct. Court Parish of Union It is ordered that the written account of Oliver H. Overstreet, Admin. Of the Estate of Julia P. Briggs, decd. Be advertised thrity days according to law. Done and signed in office on this the 10th day of March A.D. 1860. Thos. C. Lewis Clerk. Estate of Julia P. Briggs Final account of Adm. By reasons of the law and the evidence in this case being in favor of the Administration it is ordered adjudged and decreed that the account filed by O. H. Overstreet as Adm. Of the Estate of Julia P. Briggs be homolgated and allowed in all its parts. Read and signed in open Court this the 14th day of April A.D. 1860. R. W. Richardson, Judge 12th Dist. Lewis sworn says the Administrators account in this case was advertised in the Democrat, a paper published in this place and also at the Court house door for more than 10 days and no opposition has been filed.
