Brigham $ 1.79 In final Settlement To the Honorable the Judge of the 12 Judicial District Court in & for the Parish of Union State of Louisiana. The petition of W. H. Carson a resident of your aforesaid Parish and State respectfully shows that having closed the tutorship of his late Ward E. H. Carson, now Mrs. E. H. Brigham he herewith files his account in full of his acts & doings as Tutor aforesaid from which account it happens that he has received of the property of said Ward. Two thousand one hundred and ninety & 50/100 Dollars. That he has paid her account to the amount of $297.79 that he has furnished with Cash at Sundry times $294.50 & that he has paid to her since emancipation $1600.00 in all Two Thousand one hundred ninety two & 97/100 Dollars which leaves a bal. due petitioner on settlement of one dollar & seventy nine cents for which he asks a Judgement. Wherefore he prays that the said E. H. Brigham he duly cited or notified and that after the legal delays this account of petitioner be apprised and homolgated in all its parts and in every particular and that there be Judgement for petitioner & against the said E. H. Brigham for the sum of one & 79/100 Dollars & for general relief &c. Jno. L. Barrett, Atty. Service or notice of the within acknowledged and time waived this Octr. 9th AD 1860. Todd & Brigham, Attys. 12 Jud. Dist. Court Union Parish, La. In the matter of the Tutorship of E. H. Carson, Minor, Tutors account The premises considered the within account having been filed and notified to the parties in interest & no opposition having been filed it is hereby ordered adjudged and decreed that the within account of w. H. Carson Tutor be approved and homolgated in all its parts and that there be Judgement in his favor & against his late Ward. E. H. Carson for the sum of One 79/100 Dollars with five percent Int. from this date and that his Bond as Tutor be cancelled after the legal lapse of time.
