E. Daniel to W. A. Briley duly appointed by your honorable court resident of said Parish respectfully represents that the following is a final account of the Tutorship of said minor having arrived at the year of Maturity. He charges himself: 1st with amount received of Josiah Daniel for tutor on September 3rd 1855 (Voucher A) $695.83 Interest on same for 6 years and 2 months 214.55 2nd with amount received of S. F. Williford, Administrator as per clerk, certificate dated 8th April 1856 (Voucher B) 237.17 Interest on same 5 years and 6 months 65.20 3rd With amount received of H. Sheppard, Clk., Granville, NC dated 10th October 1857 (Voucher C) 350.00 4th with amount received of W. A. Daniel, Admr. of the Est. of Josiah Daniel of Morehouse, La as per voucher D, dated 1st January 1857 2854.49 Interest on Same 4 years 10 months 690.81 5th Hire of Negro in 1855 100.00 6th Hire of Negro in 1856 150.00 7th Hire of Negro in 1857 150.00 8th Hire of Negro in 1858 150.00 9th Hire of Negro in 1859 200.00 10th Hire of Negro in 1860 200.00 11th Hire of Negro in 1861 ___200.00 Amount of Charges $6329.45 He prays to be credited by amounts paid out by him as follows: Voucher No. 1 John W. Fees ___50.00 $852.13 By reference to which it appears that he is chargeable by the amount above stated $6329.45 That his credits amount to __852.13 Leaving the amount of $5477.32 From which deduct the sum of commission on $2141.61 __214.16 Which leaves him as tutor due $5265.16 He prays that this account may be filed, that James A. Creath be duly cited to examine the same and finally that it may be homolgated and allowed that he be ordered to pay over to his ward the said sum of five thousand two hundred and sixty three and 16/100 Dollars and to deliver to him the negro belonging to him and that after so doing his bond may be cancelled and for general relief. H. Regenburg, Atty. Service of the within account and petition is hereby acknowledged and on examination of the account, I approve of the same. James A. Creath, Under Tutor State of Louisiana Parish of Union The premises considered and by reason of law, and evidence it is ordered, adjudged and decreed that the within final account of M. E. Daniel be allowed and homolgated in all its parts and he be ordered to pay over to his said Ward the sum of Five thousand two hundred and sixty three & 16/100 dollars and deliver to him the said negro man, belonging to said minor and that his bond be cancelled. Briley sign the acknowledgement of service and approved of the final act filed by M. E. Daniel. H. Regneburg Sworn to and subscribed before me on the 7th day of December 1861. Jas. L.
