John R. Clark, a resident of said Parish respectfully represents unto your honor that John T. Clark, late of said Parish departed this life on or about the 28th day of September AD 1862 leaving a widow Tabitha G. Edmunds and one minor child, Martha C. Clark, and also an estate consisting of real and personal property rights and credits. Petitioner represents that an inventory and appraisement should be made and prays after due and legal proceedings that he may be appointed Administrator of said estate and for such other orders as the case requires. H. Regenburg, Atty. State of Louisiana Parish of Union Ordered that the within application be admitted according to law. Further, that W. C. Smith, Parish Recorder make an inventory of the aforesaid Estate of Jno. T. Clark, Decd. and due return thereof make without delay. Done and signed in office April 29th 1863. Guthrie, Clerk State of Louisiana 11th District court Parish of Union I, Jno. R. Clark, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully and impartially discharge all and singular duties incumbent on me as Administrator of the Estate of J. T. Clark, Decd. according to law and best of my ability and understanding. So Help me God. John R. Clark Sworn to and subscribed before me this the 15th day of May 1863. J. L. Guthrie, Clerk Succession of Jno. T. Clark, Decd. 11th District Court Whereas Jno. R. Clark has this day been duly and legally appointed Administrator of the Estate of Jno. T. Clark, he has taken the oath and given bond with good and sufficient security. Now therefore the said John R. Clark is hereby duly and legally authorized and empowered to do and perform all the acts appertaining to said appointment according to law. Given under my hand and seal of said court May 15th 1863. J. L. Guthrie, Clerk State of Louisiana Parish of Union Know all men by these presents that Jno. R. Clark as principal and [blank] as his security are held and firmly bound unto W. B. Egan, Judge of the 11th Judicial District Court for the being or to his successors in office in the just and fully sum of [blank] Dollars to the true and faithful payment thereof to be made in and each of us bind ourselves, our heirs and assigns firmly by these presents. Dated Farmerville May 6th 1863. The conditions of the above obligation is such that whereas the said Jno. R. Clark has been fully and legally appointed Administrator of the Estate of Jno. T. Clark, Decd. and he has taken the oath presented by law. Now therefore if the said Jno. R. Clark shall faithfully and impartially discharge the duties incumbent on him by said appointment and shall faithfully and correctly account to the Judge of said Court for all his acts in and about said Estate and shall account for all monies or other property of said Estate received from this or any other state and whenever legally required so to do pay over all sums of money or other property of said Estate to the proper person or persons to receive the same that this obligation to be null and void otherwise to remain in place and virtue against the above parties. Smith, Parish Recorder and Ex Officio Notary Public in and for said Parish repaired to the late residence of John T. Clark, Decd., late of the Parish of Union. The petition of John R. Clark, Administrator of the Estate of J. T. Clark, Decd. a resident of said Parish respectfully represents that part of the personal property of said Estate is of no profitable use to the Estate and expensive to keep or subject to waste and deterioration and therefore prays for an order of sale of such personal property according to law and for such other orders as the premises may require.
