The State of La., Union Parish Dec. 16th 1859 Be it knowed that I, Culpernia E. Cole, Admx. of the Estate of David Cole, Dec. of Tuscaloosa County, Alabama and whereas the property of the above named Estate has been moved to the State of La. I hereby petition the Hon. The Judge of the Twelfth Judicial District Court of Union Parish, La. to be re-appointed Tutor of the above named Estate and for the following named legatees to wit: Martha R. Cole, Elizabeth C. Cole and Mary E. Cole. Culpernia E. Cole, Admx. State of Louisiana Parish of Union Know all men by these presents that we Culpernia E. Cole as principal and Isaac Cole and Thomas J. Freeman as her Securities are held and firmly bound unto Robert W. Richardson, Judge of the 12th Judicial District Court in and for the Parish & State aforesaid or to his successors in office in the full and just sum of eight thousand Seven hundred Dollars, the true and faithful payment whereof well truly to be made we bind ourselves, our heirs, assigns, Executors, Administrators & legal representatives firmly by these presents this 26th day of December AD 1859. The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the said Culpernia E. Cole has been duly and legally appointed & confirmed Natural tutrix to their minor children & heirs to the Estate of David Cole, Decd. to wit: Martha R. Cole, Elizabeth C. Cole and Mary E. Cole. Now, therefore if the said Culpernia E. Cole shall faithfully and impartially discharge all the duties incumbent in her in her said capacity and shall render a true and faithful account of all her acts & doings in & about said matters of tutorship and shall faithfully account to the said Judge for all moneys or property received from this or any other State and shall in all this study the interest of said minors and whenever legally required so to do pay over all moneys & deliver all property belonging to said minors to the proper person or persons to receive the same then the above obligation to be null and void otherwise to be and remain in full force and effect. Cole and she has taken the oath prescribed by law and given bond according to law. Now, therefore, the said Culpernia E. Cole is hereby duly and legally authorized and empowered to do an perform all the acts appertaining to said appointment according to law.
