Lottie Cook, Dec'd., Union Parish Louisiana Union Parish Louisiana Succession Book F, pp. 460 - 461 ================================================================================== ================================================================================== To the Honorable the Judge of the 11th Judicial District Court for Union Parish, Louisiana. The Petition of Henry H. Will, a resident of your Parish and State respectfully represents unto your Honor that Miss C. Lottie Cook, late of same residence and a feme sole departed this life sometime during the year 1866 intestate leaving a small amount of property. Petitioner represents that said deceased left several relatives, but that none of them will administer on the said Estate or at any rate refused up to the present time to do. That Petitioner is a creditor of the said succession of said deceased and that in default of any of her relatives administering petitioner will not other way to secure his right than to administer himself. Wherefore petitioner prays your honor that W. C. Smith, parish Recorder and Ex Officio Notary Public be ordered to make an Inventory of the effects of said C. Lottie Cook, Decd. and upon legal Advertisement, Petitioner be appointed Administrator of said Estate for all other orders and decrees necessary in the premises and for general relief. R. W. Futch, Atty. State of Louisiana 11th District Court Parish of Union Let the prayer of the Petitioner be granted and it is ordered that the within application of Henry H. Hill to be appointed Administrator of the Estate of C. Lottie Cook, Decd. be advertised to law and it is further ordered that W. C. Smith, Parish Recorder &c proceed to make an inventory and appraisement of all the property belonging to the said Estate and due return make to this office.
