Dishroon, Dec'd., Union Parish Louisiana Union Parish Louisiana Succession Book F, pp. 370 - 373 ================================================================================== ================================================================================== To the Honorable the Judge of the 11th Judicial District in and for the Parish of Union, State of Louisiana. The Petitioner of Henry H. Ward, a resident of the Parish of Claibourne, state aforesaid respectfully shows that Henry E. Dishroon, a resident of the Parish of Union aforesaid departed this life about the year 1863 leaving a small estate in this said parish consisting of a tract of land and some debts together with Delilah A. T. Dishroon, his surviving widow and two children, minors to wit Theodosia E. and Beauregard H. Dishroon, issues of the marriage of deceased with the said Delilah A. T. Dishroon. That the debts of said estate are now pressing and an administration of said Estate is necessary and that a sale of all the property will be required to pay the debts of said Estate. That Petitioner is a brother in law of deceased and has the best right to administer except the said widow and the creditors to administer the said Estate and that they all decline to act. Wherefore Petitioner prays that this, his application be duly advertised according to Law after the legal delays. That he be appointed Administrator of the said Estate of Henry C. Dishroon, Decd. That an inventory and appraisement be made of said Estate and that upon his being qualified as Administrator of said Estate he be authorized to sell according to law all the property of said Estate to pay the debts thereof for all further orders necessary and for general relief &c. State of Louisiana 11th Judicial District Court Parish of union The premises considered, let the prayers of the Petitioner be granted and it is hereby ordered that the foregoing application of Henry H. Ward to be appointed Administrator of the Estate of Henry E. Dishroon, Decd. be advertised according to Law and that W. C. Smith, Recorder &c make an Inventory and Appraisement of the property of said Estate immediately and made due return of the same to this office according to Law. Done and signed in office on this the 17th day of January 1867. J. W. Reid Clerk, District Court State of Louisiana Parish of Union The premises considered and by reasons of the proper and legal advertisement having been made and no opposition having been filed to the same, it is hereby ordered and decreed that Henry H. Ward be and he is hereby duly and legally appointed Administrator of the Estate of Henry E. Dishroon, Decd. Done and signed in office this 1st day of March AD 1867. J. W. Reid Clerk, District Court State of Louisiana 11th Judicial District Court Parish of Union Let the prayer of Petitioner be granted and it is hereby ordered and decreed that all the property both real and personal belonging to the Estate of Henry E. Dishroon be sold in accordance with Articles 990 and 991 of the Code of Practice and it is further ordered that Henry H. Ward the Administrator of the said Estate make the said sale and due return thereof make to this office. Done and signed in office on the 1st day of March AD 1867 J. W. Ward, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully and impartially discharge all the duties incumbent on me as Administrator of the Estate of Henry E. Dishroon, Deceased according to the best of my ability and understanding. So help me God. H. H. Ward Sworn to and subscribed before me this 1st day of March AD 1867. J. W. Reid Clerk, District Court State of Louisiana 11th Judicial District Court Parish of Union Whereas Henry H. Ward has been duly and legally appointed Administrator of the Estate of Henry E. Dishroon, deceased and has taken the oath prescribed by law. Now therefore the said Henry H. Ward is hereby duly and legally authorized and empowered to do and perform all the acts appertaining to said appointment according to law. Given under my hand ad seal of office this 1st day of March AD 1867. J. W. Reid Clerk, District Court State of Louisiana 11th Judicial District Court Parish of Union $3000.00 Know all men by there presents that we Henry H. Ward as principal and William Anderson as security are held and firmly bound unto the Honorable J. D. Watkins, Judge of the Eleventh Judicial District Court in and for union Parish, Louisiana for the time being or to his successors in office in the just and full sum of Three thousand Dollars to the true and full payment thereof we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators and legal representatives firmly and in solido by these presents. Dated at Farmerville, Louisiana this 1st day of March AD 1867. The condition of this obligation is such that whereas the said Henry H. Ward has been duly and legally appointed and confirmed as administrator of the Estate of Henry E. Dishroon, deceased and has taken the oath required by law. Now therefore if the said Henry H. Ward shall faithfully and impartially discharge all the duties incumbent on them as Administrator of the said Estate of Henry E. Dishroon Deceased and shall render to the Judge of said Court a true and correct account of all his acts and doings in and about said Estate and shall when legally required so to do pay over all sums of money and deliver all the property belonging to the said Estate to the proper person or persons to receive the same then, the obligation to be null and void. Otherwise, to be and remain in full force according to Law. H. H. Ward William Anderson Done, signed and acknowledged before me this the day and date above written. J. W. Nelson do solemnly swear that I will faithfully and impartially appraise all the property that may be presented to me belonging to the Estate of Henry E. Smith, Recorder State of Louisiana Parish of Union Be it remembered that on this the 17th day of January AD One thousand eight hundred and sixty seven pursuant to an order issued from the Honorable 11th Judicial District court in and for the Parish of Union, La. and to me William C. Smith, Recorder and Ex Officio notary public in and for said Parish directed authorizing me to make an Inventory and Appraisement of all the property, rights and credits belonging to the Estate of Henry E. Dishroon, Decd. late of the Parish of Union and being assisted by William Anderson and George W. Nelson males of lawful age and domicile who being duly appointed and sworn by me as appraisers proceeded to make an Inventory and Appraisement of the property of said Estate situated in the Parish of Union as follows, viz. 200 Acres of land situated in the parish of Union with the improvements thereon apprd. @ $1.00 per acre $200.00 This done and signed in my office in the Town of Farmerville in presence of Nathan Bettterton and John Taylor witnesses of Lawful age and domicile who signs with said appraisers and me Recorder this the day and date above written.
