Feazel enlisted in the Spring of 1862 in Company G, 31st Louisiana Infantry, a unit formed originally from men who primarily resided in and around Farmerville, Union Parish Louisiana. He died on 21 November 1862 near Monroe from measles. ================================================================================== ================================================================================== To the Honorable the Judge of the 11th Judicial District Court in and for the Parish of Union, State of Louisiana. The petition of Isaiah S. Feazel, a resident of the said parish and State respectfully represents that his brother George N. Feazel departed this life sometime during the year 1863 leaving a widow and three minor children, also a small Estate consisting of real and personal property, rights and credits. Petitioner further represents that the said Estate is somewhat in debt and that an administration is necessary. Wherefore, he prays that this application be advertised according to Law, that William C. Smith, Parish Recorder and Ex Officio Notary Public be authorized to make an Inventory and Appraisement of all the property belonging to said Estate and for all other orders and decrees necessary in the premises and for general relief &c. Tompkins & Lewis Attys. for Petr. State of Louisiana 11th Judicial District Court Parish of Union It is hereby ordered that the within application of Isaiah S. Feazel to be appointed administrator of the Estate of George A. Feazel, decd. be advertised according to Law. It is further ordered that William C. Smith, Parish Recorder and Ex Officio Notary Public and he is hereby authorized and empowered to make an Inventory and Appraisement of all the property belonging to the said Estate and due return thereof make to this office.
