Feazel. He was supposedly the son of George Feazel who arrived in the Union Parish area in 1814. Solomon married Sarah Elizabeth Farmer on 14 July 1836 in Ouachita Parish. Sarah was the daughter of early Union Parish settlers and War of 1812 veteran Mills Farmer. Solomon's daughter Cecilia Ann Feazel married to William C. Fitzgerald (c1831 – 19 Dec 1862) in late 1860 or early 1861. Fitzgerald enlisted in the Confederate Army in the spring of 1862, and the men elected him as the 1st Lieutenant of Company H, 31st Louisiana Infantry Regiment. As the closest male relative, Fitzgerald was originally appointed as Solomon Feazel's administrator and as the tutor of Maxamilion and William P. Feazel. However, Fitzgerald died at Vicksburg of pneumonia on 19 December 1862, causing the need for the court to appoint another tutor of the Feazel minors (notice that the record below gives the incorrect year of Fitzgerald's death). Cecilia Ann Feazel remarried to James Wyatt Auld (c1836 – after Mar 1886), the son of James Alexander Auld (c1813 – 1870/1880) and Elizabeth Ann Hester (c1816 – 1850/1852). In the summer of 1861, James Wyatt Auld enlisted with numerous relatives as a private in the Farmer’s Guards. This military unit became Company I, 12th Louisiana Infantry Regiment on August 13th. Wyatt served honorably with his unit until he was captured at Water Valley, Yalobusha County Mississippi on 4 December 1862. He was sent to the Yankee military prison at Alton, Illinois via Cairo, Illinois on 10 January 1863, and then paroled and transferred to City Point, Virginia on April 8th for exchange. He returned to the service of his unit and was present for duty during the rest of the year 1863. On 4 January 1864, Colonel Nelson ordered Auld on detached service with the Engineer Corps, and in August 1864, the Army of Tennessee commander General Hood ordered him transferred to Company B, 2nd Confederate Engineering Troops. Since Auld away in the army or in a Yankee prison between 1861 and 1865, presumably his marriage to Cecilia did not occur until he returned from the service in mid-1865 or later that year. Their eldest known child was born about 1867. Max and William Feazel lived with Wyatt and Cecilia Auld in Ward 4 of Union Parish in 1870. About 1871, Wyatt and Cecilia left Union Parish and moved to Texas. Her Feazel brothers remained in north Louisiana. ================================================================================= TRANSCRIPTION OF TUTORSHIP RECORD: ================================================================================= To the Honorable the Judge of the Eleventh Judicial District Court in and for the Parish of Union, Louisiana.
