To the Honorable the Judge of the Eleventh Judicial District court in and for the Parish of Union, Louisiana The petition of William C. Fitzgerald and his wife Ciecily Ann Feazle, his wife, both of said parish with respect represents that Solomon Feazle, late of said parish departed this live on or about the 30th day of July last, leaving a considerable Estate consisting of land, slaves, personal property, rights, credits and debts, and also four heirs, to wit: Ciecily Ann, petitioner, Maximilian Feazle, William P. Feazle, and Delaware Feazle, the three last named being minors. Petitioner represents that the said Ciecely being the only heir of age is entitled to the administrations. They pray that an inventory and appraisement be had according to law and that a family meeting may be had for the purpose of appointing tutors and under tutors to the said minors. Said meeting to consist of Phillip Feazle, James McCowen, John Feazle, W. H. Carson and such other relatives and friends as may be procured. Petitioners pray that William C. Fitzgerald may be appointed Administrator of said Estate and for such other orders and decrees as may be necessary in the premises. H. Regenburg, Atty. State of Louisiana 11th District Court Parish of Union The premises considered it is ordered that the within application is advertised according to Law. It is further ordered that William C. Smith, Parish Recorder &C be and he is hereby authorized to make an inventory and appraisement of the property belonging to said Estate of Solomon Feazle, Decd. It is further ordered that W. C. Smith, Recorder &C call a family meeting for the purpose of appointing a tutor and under tutor to said minors of the estate of Solomon Feazle, Decd. and that said family meeting be comprised of the following persons to wit: Phillip Feazle, Jas. McCowen, John Feazle, M. Carson &C. relative and friends of said minors at said meeting to be held on the 21st day of August 1862. Done and signed in office on this the 13th day of August 1862. J. L. Fitzgerald be appointed Administrator of the Estate of Sol Feazle, Decd. and upon his giving bond with good security and taking the oath required by law that letters do issue to him. Fitzgerald do solemnly swear that I will faithfully and impartially discharge all and singular the duties incumbent on me as administrator of the Estate of Solomon Feazle, Decd. to the best of my ability and understanding. State of Louisiana 11th District Court Parish of Union Whereas Wm. C. Fitzgerald has this day been duly and legally appointed administrator of the Estate of Solomon Feazle, Decd. and he has given bond according to law and taking the oath required also. Now therefore the said Wm. C. Fitzgerald is hereby duly and legally authorized and empowered to do all the acts appertaining to said appointment according to law. C. Fitzgerald as principal and Jas. Edmonds, I. C. White and H. Regenburg as his securities are held and firmly bound unto W. B. Egan, Judge of the 11th District Court Parish and State aforesaid for the time being or to his successors in office in the just and fully sum of Sixteen thousand five hundred dollars the true and faithful payment thereof will and truly be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, assigns, administrators, Executors and legal representatives firmly by these presents dated Farmerville, La. September 4, 1862. The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the said Wm. C. Fitzgerald has been duly and legally appointed administrator of the Estate of Solomon Feazle, Decd. and he has taken the oath prescribed by law. Now therefore, if the said Fitzgerald shall faithfully and impartially discharge all and singular the duties incumbent on him as administrator of said Estate and shall faithfully account to the judge of said court for all monies or property received from this state or any other state, belonging to said Estate and shall render a true account of all his acts and doings in and about said Estate to the judge aforesaid, and wherever legally required so to do pay over all sums of money or other property to the proper person or persons to receive the same, then the above obligation to be null and void otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue. The 11th Judicial District court in and for said Parish of Union, La. to me W. C. Smith parish Recorder &C in and for said Parish and State directed commanding me to make an inventory and appraisement of all the property, rights and credits situated in the Parish of Union, La., belonging to the Estate and succession of Solomon Feazle, Decd. I did repair to the residence of Phillip Feazle in the Parish of Union, La. and being assisted by W. H. Smith, Parish Recorder State of Louisiana Parish of Union Be it remembered that on this day the 14th of August AD 1862, I, William C. Smith, Parish Recorder &C in and for the Parish of Union, La. in presence of an order of the Honl. 11th District Court in and for said Parish caused to come before me John Feazle, Phillip Feazle, Jas. G. Kolb, W. H. Carson & J. S. Feazle and James Hayes members of the family meeting appointed and convoked to give their advice with regard to appointing a tutor and under tutor to the minors Maximillian Feazle, William P. Feazle and Delaware Feazle and after having caused each member to take and subscribe the oath prescribed by law and after having explained to them the object of the meeting, they proceeded to deliberate among themselves on the subject matter above stated. When they unanimously advised and recommended the appointment of William C. Fitzgerald Tutor to said minors and that James G. Kolb tutor to said minors and that Jas. G. Kolb be appointed Under tutor by complying with all the requirements of Law in such cases made and provided. In faith whereof the members of the family meeting have signed this process verbal in the presence of the undersigned lawful and competent witnesses and me the said Recorder this the day and date above written, viz: August 14th 1862. Feazle To the Honorable the Judge of the 11th Judicial District Court in and for the Parish of Union, Louisiana The petition of Wm. c. Fitzgerald, Admr. of the Estate of Solomon Feazle, Decd. respectfully represents duly that the personal property of said estate is subject to waste and loss and that is should be the interest of the Estate be sold as speedily as possible. He therefore prays that a sale be ordered of all the personal property of said Estate on a credit of twelve months and that he be authorized to make the sale, purchasers giving their notes with good security with 8 percent interest from due till paid. And for such other orders &C as the case requires. H.
