The 1870 census indicates that Edmund General was born about 1810 in Tennessee. He lived near the Mastersons near Union Cross Roads, now known as Oakland, in north/central Union Parish near the Arkansas line. He was not shown as owning any real estate on that census. He had no wife, but lived with a number of children, presumably his children or grandchildren. ================================================================================== ================================================================================== To the Honorable the Judge of the Parish Court of Union Parish, State of Louisiana.
