Vital Data from Dallas County Alabama cemeteries gives John Hall as born 23 April 1770 and died 10 February 1825. His will proved on 12 June 1826 lists these relatives: wife: Amy (Amey) Permelia Jordan (1787 - Mar 1842) children: John Hall (born 1809 in Virginia) Elizabeth Bailey Hall (21 July 1812 - 3 July 1891; born in Richmond, Virginia, married James C. Manning) Parmelia Hall (1817 - ?) married Peyton Kennedy William Creath Hall (27 Apr 1821 - 5 Dec 1902) Sarah Hall (1822 - ?) married John Norris Mary Hall (1823 - ?) married a Fielding Laura Ann Melinda Hall (4 July 1825 - 2 Dec 1879) born in Stauton, Augusta County Virginia and died in Marion County Mississippi ================================================================================== ================================================================================== Heirs of John Hall Sr. and Anny Hall, deceased To the Honorable John Taylor, Probate Judge of the Probate Court in and for the Parish of Union, La. The petition of John Hall, Elizabeth Manning, Parmelia Kennedy, William C. Hall, Sarah Hall of your said Parish and State with respect represents unto your Honor that the Estate of John Hall, Senr. Who died in Alabama in 1826 and by will left it in equal proportions to your petitioners and Anny Hall his wife in community who is since deceased still remains in common and undivided. Your petitioners would also represent that two of the heirs of said Estate to wit: Mary and Laura Hall are minors and have not Tutor. Wherefore your petitioners pray that a Tutor may be appointed to said minors and that an Inventory of said Estate be made and that experts be appointed to examine said property and report thereon in order that there be a partition among the heirs of said Estate and if according to the report of said experts a partition cannot be made in kind that a sale of said Estate be ordered and advertised by your Honor. That an equal division be made among the heirs of the same. Petitioners would represent that they think a sale would be most advantageous and satisfactory to all concerned. Therefore they pray that an Inventory and sale of said Estate be ordered and executed on credit of one year and for all such other and further relief in and about the premises as the nature of the case may require &c. Let the prayer of the petition be granted and it is further ordered that an Inventory and appraisement of said Estate be made and that James Hall be appointed Tutor to the minor heirs Mary and Laura Hall and that letters issue.
