Hendricks, Decd., Union Parish Louisiana Union Parish Louisiana Succession Book F, pp. 348 – 350 ================================================================================= ================================================================================= To the Honorable the Judge of the 11th Judicial District Court in and for the parish of union, State of Louisiana. The petition of Milly C. Hendricks, a resident of your said Parish and State with respect represents unto your Honorable Court that she is the surviving Wife of W. B. G. Hendricks, Decd. who died while absent from the said Parish, but has been a resident of your said Parish for many years previous to his death. She represents that her said husband died intestate leaving your petitioner partner in community and one minor child viz. Sallie W. Hendricks. She represents that there are no debts due by the Estate and that some of the Estate was sold by her said husband previous to his death, but that he failed to give a title to the purchaser of the same. She represents that she is the natural Tutrix of her said minor child and has a right to be confirmed as such. Therefore the premises considered of your Petitioner prays that she may be confirmed as Natural Tutrix of her said minor child and that Isaac C. Mayes be appointed Under Tutor and for all orders and decrees necessary in the premises and for general and equitable relief &c. Tompkins & Lewis Attys. State of Louisiana 11th Judicial District Court Parish of Union The premises considered, it is ordered and decreed that Mrs. Milly C. Hendricks be and she is hereby appointed and confirmed as Natural Tutrix of her following named minor child to wit Sallie W. Hendricks and that upon her taking the oath required by law that letters of Tutorship do issue to her. It is further ordered that Isaac C. Mayes be appointed as Under Tutor of said minor and that upon his taking the required oath that letters of Under tutorship do issue to her. Done and signed in office on this 6th day of November AD 1866. J. W. Reid, Clerk District Court State of Louisiana 11th Judicial District Court Parish of Union I, Milly C. Hendricks do solemnly swear that I will faithfully and impartially discharge all the duties incumbent on me as Natural Tutrix of my following named minor children to wit Sallie W. Hendricks, heir of the Estate of William B. G. Hendricks, Decd. according to the best of my ability and understanding. So help me God. Sworn to and subscribed before me this 6th day of November AD 1866. J. W. Reid, Clerk Tutorship of the minor State of Louisiana 11th Judicial District Court Parish of Union Whereas Milly C. Hendricks has been duly and legally appointed Natural Tutrix of the following named minor children to wit Sally W. Hendricks heirs of the Estate of William B. G. Hendricks, deceased and she has taken the oath prescribed by law. Now, therefore the said Milly C. Hendricks is hereby duly and legally authorized and empowered to do and perform all the acts appertaining to said Estate according to law. Given under my hand and seal of office this 6th day of November AD 1866. J. W. Reid, Clerk District Court State of Louisiana 11th Judicial District Court Parish of union I, Isaac C. Mayes do solemnly swear that I will faithfully and impartially discharge all the duties incumbent upon me as Under Tutor of the following named minor heirs of the Estate of William B. G. Mayes has been legally appointed and confirmed as Under Tutor of the following names minor heir of the Estate of William B. G. Hendricks, Decd. to wit Sallie W. Hendricks and he has taken the oath prescribed by law. Now, therefore, the said Isaac D. Mayes is hereby duly and legally authorized to do and empowered to do and perform all the acts appertaining to the said appointment according to law.
