Hill, Decd. To the Honorable the Judge of the 12th Judicial District Court in and for Union Parish, Louisiana The petition of John G. Hill, a resident of said Parish and State, respectfully represents unto your Honor that Isaac E. Hill, late a resident of your said Parish and State, departed this life on or about the twenty seventh day of September AD 1860 in the said Parish, he then being a resident of the same leaving the following named children and heirs of his estate, to wit: Mrs. Almina R. Holmes, wife of Martin V. Holmes, Nancy H. Hill and George H. Hill, the two last named being minor, also leaving an estate consisting of stock and other personal property, rights, credits and debts. Petitioner represents that he is the brother of the said deceased. He prays that an inventory and appraisement may be had according to law, and that after due proceedings being had, he may be appointed administrator of the said Estate and for such orders and decrees in the premises as may be necessary and proper and for general relief &c. John G. Hill State of Louisiana 12th Judl. Dist. Court Parish of Union I, John G. Hill do solemnly swear that I sill faithfully and impartially discharge all and singular the duties incumbent on me as Administrator of the Estate of I. A. Succession of Isaac A. Hill, Decd. State of Louisiana 12th District Court Parish of Union Whereas John G. Hill has been duly and legally appointed administrator of the Estate of Isaac A. Hill, Decd. and he has given bond and good security and taken the oath prescribed by law. Now therefore the said John g. Hill is hereby duly and legally authorized and empowered to do and perform all acts appertaining to said appointment according to law. Given under my hand and the seal of said Court on this the 17th day of November AD 1860. Thos. C. Lewis, Clerk State of Louisiana Parish of Union Know all men by these presents that we John G. Hill as principal and Michael Weil as his security are held and firmly bound unto Robt. W. Richardson, Judge of the 12th Judicial district court in and for Union Parish, State of Louisiana or to his successors in office in the sum of Eight Hundred Dollars to the true and faithful payment thereof we bind ourselves, our heirs and assigns in solid on this the 16th day of November AD 1860. The condition of the above obligation issue be that whereas the said John G. Hill has been duly and appointed administrator of the Estate of Isaac A. Hill, Decd. and he has taken the oath prescribed by law. Now therefore if the said John G. Hill shall faithfully administer said estate and shall do an perform all the acts in and about said estate and shall render a true and correct account to the Judge of said court or to his successors in office or to the legal heirs of said estate when required so to do, turn over all sums of money or other property to the proper person or persons to receive the same then this obligation to be null and void, otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue against said principal and his said security. Weil To the Honorable the Judge of the twelfth Judicial District Court in and for the Parish of Union, Louisiana The petition of John G. Hill, Admr. of the Estate of I. A. Hill, Decd. late of said parish, respectfully represents unto your honor that the said estate consists entirely of personal property, stock &c subject to waste and expensive to keep and that the interest of the estate demands that it should be sold as speedily as possible as the case will admit of. He therefore prays that an order may be issued directing the sale of all the property of said estate according to law and for such other orders and decrees in the premises as may be necessary. He also prays to be appointed to make the sale and for general relief. H. Regenburg, Atty. State of Louisiana 12th Judicial District Court Parish of Union The premises being considered, it is ordered and decreed that all the personal property belonging to the Estate of Isaac A. Hill, Decd. be sold on such terms as may be deemed proper by the administrator of said estate. It is further ordered that John G. Hill, Administrator of said estate be and he is hereby authorized to make said sale. Done and signed in office on this 16th day of November AD 1860. Thos. C. C. Smith, Parish Recorder and Ex-Officio Notary Public in and for said Parish proceeded to make an inventory and appraisement of the property belonging to the Estate Of Isaac A. Hill, Deceased, assisted by John Norsworthy and William J.
