The petition of W. A. Glossan, a resident of said Parish respectfully represents that Wiley Johnson departed this life in said Parish leaving no minor heirs but bearing an estate consisting of personal property, rights, credits and debt. Petitioner represents that said Johnson was indebted to him at the time of his death and prays that an inventory and appraisement be had according to law and that after due proceedings having been had, he may be appointed Administrator of said Estate and for such other orders as may be necessary. H. Rebengurg, Atty. State of Louisiana 11th Judicial District Court Parish of Union The premises considered it is ordered and decreed that the within application of William A. Glosson to be appointed Administrator of the estate of Wiley Johnson, Decd. be advertised according to law. It is further ordered that W. C. Smith, parish Recorder and Notary &c in and for said Parish and State be and he is hereby authorized to make an inventory and appraisement of the property belonging to the said Estate of Wiley Johnson, Decd. and due return make to this office without delay. Done and signed in Office on this the first day of June one thousand eight hundred and sixty one (1861). Thos. C. Lewis, Clerk, of said court State of Louisiana 11th Judicial District Court Parish of Union The premises being duly considered and by further reason that proper advertisement having been made and no opposition being filed in my office, it is ordered and decreed that W. A. Glosson be and he is hereby appointed Administrator of the Estate of Wiley Johnson, Decd. and upon his giving bond and good security and taking the oath prescribed by law that letters do issue to him. Done and signed in office on this the 24th day of June 1861. Thos. C. Lewis, Clerk State of Louisiana Parish of Union Know all men by these presents that William A. Glosson, principal and Henry Regenburg as his security are held and firmly bound unto W. B. Egan Judge of the 11th Judicial District Court in and for the Parish of Union and State of Louisiana or to his successors in office in the sum of Nine hundred dollars. To the true and faithful payment thereof, we bind ourselves, our heirs and assigns in solido on this the 16th day of June AD 1861. The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the said William A. Glosson has been appointed Administrator of the Estate of Wiley Johnson, Decd. and he has taken the oath prescribed by law. Now, therefore, if the said William A. Glosson shall well and truly administer said Estate and shall do and perform all the acts in and about said Estate and shall render a true and correct account to the Judge of said court or to his successors in office or to the legal heirs of said estate when required so to do lawfully then this obligation to be null and void or otherwise to be and remain in full force and effect against the principal and his said security. Glosson, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully and impartially discharge all and singular the duties incumbent on me as Administrator of the Estate of Wiley Johnson, Decd. according to the best of my ability and understanding. State of Louisiana 11th Judicial District Court Parish of Union Whereas William A. Glosson has been duly and legally appointed Administrator of the Estate of Wiley Johnson, Decd. and he has taken the oath prescribed by law and given bond with good security. Now, therefore, the said William A. Glosson is hereby duly authorized and empowered to do and perform all and singular the acts appertaining to said appointment according to law. Given under my hand and seal of office on this 14th day of June AD 1861. Thos. C. Lewis, Clerk To the Honorable the Judge of the 11th Judicial District Court in and for the parish of Union, Louisiana. The petition of William A. Glosson, a resident of said Parish and Administrator of the Estate of Wiley Johnson, Decd. respectfully represents unto your honorable court that there is a stallion belonging to said Estate which is both inconvenient and expensive to keep which he prays may be sold according to law, also a pair of saddle bags and a lot of old clothes and one double barrel shot gun. He therefore prays that an order may issue ordering the sale of said horse and other articles under the Articles of the Code of Practice No. 989-990, that he be authorized to make the said sale, and for such other orders and decrees in the premises as the case may require. H. Regenburg, Atty. State of Louisiana 11th Judicial District Court Parish of Union The premises being fully considered, it is ordered and decreed that the property mentioned and described in the foregoing petition belonging to the Estate of Wiley Johnson, Decd. be sold to pay the debts of said Estate. It is further decreed that the sale be made in accordance with Articles No. 989 and 990 of the Code of Practice and that William A. Glosson, The Administrator of said Estate, be and he is hereby authorized to make said sale after due and legal advertisement. Done and signed in office on this the 24th day of June AD 1861. Thos. C.
