The petition of William Culverhouse, a resident of your said Parish and State sheweth that on or about the 22nd of November 1844, one William Keane departed this life intestate and having no legal representatives and having a small estate consisting of personal property, rights and credits and several debts due against said Estate. Wherefore petitioner prays your Honor to cause the property of said Estate to be inventoried and said Estate settled in a summary manner and that your petitioner be appointed curator of said Estate and for all necessary orders and for general relief &c. William Culverhouse State of Louisiana Parish of Union Let the prayer of the petitioner be granted and it is ordered, adjudged and decreed that William Culverhouse be appointed Curator of said Succession and that he be empowered to settle up said succession in a manner. Done and signed in Chambers this 1st day of February AD 1845. He is hereby authorized and fully empowered to discharge all and singular the duties appertaining to the said appointment. John Taylor Judge of Probates Be it remembered that in pursuance of a decree f the Honorable Probate Judge in and for the above named Parish and State, I have this day proceeded to nominate the following freeholders to appraise the Property and Estate of William Keane consisting of one black mare and one silver watch. William Culverhouse Curator We the undersigned being appointed as appraisers of the property of William Keane, deceased value the black mare at twenty dollars and the silver watch at five dollars.
