The petitioner Rubin McGee, a resident of your Parish with due respect represents unto your Honorable Court that he is the surviving spouse of Mary Ann McGee, decd. who departed this life on the [blank] day [blank] AD 1871 leaving an Estate consisting of real and personal property, rights, credits and debts also minor children L. Curtis, Rubin, Olivia and Horace McGee. Your petitioner further represents that the said children are the issue of your petitioner and Mary A. McGee, Decd. That he is their father and Natural Tutor. Therefore, your petitioner prays that an order do issue from your Honorable Court directing W. C. Smith, Parish Recorder and Ex Officio Notary Public to make an inventory of the said Estate and after said inventory has been made that your petitioner being qualified Natural Tutor to the minors L. Curtis, Rubin, Olivia and Horace and G. P. Reynolds be appointed Under Tutor to said minors and for all other orders and decrees necessary in the premises and for general relief. G. H. Ellis, Atty. Smith, Parish Recorder and Ex Officio Notary Public be authorized to make an inventory of the Estate of Mary A. McGee, Decd. and return thereof make to this office without delay and after said inventory has been returned to this office and recorded. That Richard McGee be qualified Natural Tutor to his minor children and G. P. Reynolds be appointed Under Tutor to the same. Thus done and signed in chambers this 9th day of November AD 1871. T. B. Tompkins, Parish Judge in and for the Parish of Union and State of Louisiana to me William C. Smith, Recorder and Ex Officio Notary Public in and for said directed authorizing and commanding me to make an inventory and appraisement of the property belonging to the Estate of Mary Ann McGee, Decd. late of the Parish of Union and being assisted by George W. Reynolds and Pinckney G. R. Reynolds males of lawful age and residents of the Parish of Union, La. who being duly appointed and sworn by me as appraisers and in the presence of witnesses at the late residence of said deceased proceeded to make said inventory and appraisement as follows to wit: First, separate and paraphernalia property belonging to the Estate of Mary Ann McGee, deceased tract of land numbered as the NE ¼ of the SW ¼ and SE ¼ of the NW ¼ and the W ½ of the NE ¼ of the NW ¼ of Section No. Twenty, Township No. 19 N. R No. One (1) East containing one hundred acres more or less. Also the N ½ of the NE ¼ the N ½ of NE ¼ of NW ¼ except two acres, Section 20 T 19 Range one East containing ninety acres more or less in the aggregate one hundred and ninety eight acres more or less together with all the improvements and appurtenances situated therein apprd. @ $5.00 per acre making in the aggregate nine hundred and ninety dollars $990.00 1 Feather bed, mattress, bed stead, bed clothing complete apprd. @ ___40.00 Separate property $1030.00 One thousand thirty dollars Community property belonging to said Estate and her surviving husband being partner in community to wit: Rubin McGee First, the Milton Hammonds tract of land situated in the Parish of Union numbered as follows to wit: The SW ¼ of NE ¼, the SE ¼ of NW ¼ and the East ½ of the SW ¼ of Section 29 Township No. 19 North of Range No. one East containing one hundred and sixty acres more or less with the improvements situated thereon apprd. @ $3.50 per acre $560.00 Tract of land known as the M. J. Farmer tract numbered as the SE ¼ of the SE ¼ of Section 19 and the lS ½ of the SW ¼ of Section 20 and the NW ¼ of NE ¼ and N ½ of NW ¼ Section 29 and the E ½ of the North East ¼ Section 20 all in Township No. 19 Range No. One East containing three hundred and twenty acres more or less with the improvements situated thereon apprd. @ $3.50 per acre 560.00 Tract of land known as the M.
