Nyegaard, Union Parish Louisiana Union Parish Louisiana Succession Book E, pp. 766 - 769 ================================================================================== To the Honorable the Judge of the Twelfth Judicial District Court in and for the Parish of Union, Louisiana The petition of Ann Nyegaard and Henry Regenburg, both residents of your said parish, departed this life on the seventh day of January AD 1861 leaving an estate consisting of real estate and personal property, debts and credits. Also leaving petitioner, Ann Nyegaard, a widow in community and one minor child the issue of their marriage between him, the said deceased, and her, Ann Nyegaard. Petitioner pray that legal proceedings be had, that an inventory be made according to law, that H. Regenburg be appointed Administrator of said estate, and that the petitioner Ann Nyegaard be appointed and confirmed Natural Tutrix to her said child William Nyegaard and for such other orders and decrees in the premises as may be necessary. H. Regenburg, Atty. State of Louisiana 12th Judicial District Court Parish of Union The premises considered, it is ordered and decreed that the within application of H. Regenburg to be appointed Administrator of the Estate of John E. Nyegaard, Decd. be advertised according to law. It is further ordered that W. C. Smith, Parish Recorder and Ex Officio Notary Public in and for the said Parish and State be and he is authorized to make an inventory and appraisement of the property belonging to the said Estate of John E. Nyegaard, Decd. and due return thereof make to this office without delay. Done and signed in office this the 11th day of January AD 1861. Thos. C. Lewis, Clerk State of Louisiana 12th Judicial District Court Parish of Union The premises considered and by reason of proper advertisement having been made and no opposition being filed in my office, it is ordered, adjudged and decreed that Henry Regenburg be and he is hereby appointed Administrator of the Estate of John E. Nyegaard, and upon his giving bond and good security and taking the oath prescribed by law that letters do issue to him. It is further ordered that Ann Nyegaard be and she is hereby appointed and confirmed as Natural Tutrix to her minor child William Nyegaard and that Henry Regenburg be and he is appointed Under tutor to said minor and that upon their taking the oath prescribed by law, that letters do issue to them. Done and signed in office on this the 23rd day of January AD 1861. Thos. C. Lewis, Clerk State of Louisiana Parish of Union Know all men by these presents that we Henry Regenburg as principal and William C. Smith as his security are held and firmly bound unto R. W. Richardson, Judge of the 12th Judicial District Court in and for Union Parish, State of Louisiana or to his successors in office in the sum of four thousand four hundred and thirty dollars to the true and faithful payment thereof we bind ourselves, our heirs and assigns in solido on this the 23rd day of June AD 1861. The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the said Henry Regenburg has been appointed Administrator of the Estate of Jno. E. Nyegaard, Decd. and he has taken the oath prescribed by law. Now therefore if the said Henry Regenburg shall faithfully administer said Estate and shall do and perform all the acts in and about said Estate and shall render a true and correct account to the judge of the said court or to his successors in office or to the legal heirs of said Estate when required legally so to do, then this obligation to be null and void or otherwise to be and remain in full force and effect against the principal and his said securities. Done, signed and acknowledged on the day and date above written. ATTEST: H. Regenburg W. C. Smith State of Louisiana 12th Judicial District Court Parish of Union I, Henry Regenburg, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully and impartially discharge all and singular the duties incumbent on me as Administrator of the Estate of John E. Lewis, Clerk To the Honorable the Judge of the 12th District Court in and for the Parish of Union, Louisiana. The petition of H. Regenburg, Administrator of the Estate of Jno. E. Nyegaard, Decd., a resident of said parish respectfully represents that part of the Estate consists of personal property subject to waste and expensive to keep, which in his opinion, should be sold as expediently as the nature of the case will permit. He therefore prays for an order of sale to be on a credit of twelve months. Purchasers giving their notes with approved security. Sums under ten dollars, cash and that he be authorized to make the said sale according to law and for such other orders &c as the case requires. H. Regenburg, Atty. State of Louisiana Parish of Union Let the prayer of petitioner be granted and it is ordered and decreed that all the personal property belonging to the Estate of Jno. E. Nyegaard, Decd. be sold on the following terms to wit: on a credit of twelve months for all sums of ten dollars and over. Purchaser giving their notes with approved security. All sums under ten dollars, Cash. It is further ordered that Henry Regenburg, Administrator of said Estate be and he is authorized to make said sale.
