To the Honorable the Judge of the 12th Judicial
District Court in and for the parish of Union, La.
   The petition of Sarah Pealer a resident of the
Parish of Union with respect represents unto your
honor that Randolph Pealer, the husband of your
Petitioner departed this life in the state of Alabama
sometime in the year 1836 intestate having several
minor children to wit George Pealer, Marion Pealer,
Fanny Pealer, Angline & William Pealer.
   Petitioner represents that the said Randolph Pealer,
decd. sided of a considerable amount of property now
belonging to said minor heirs.  That no person has been
appointed in the state to protect the property or
represent the interest of said minors.
   Wherefore, petitioner prays that she may be
confirmed Natural Tutor of the said minor children,
that Johnson Malone be appointed Under Tutor and for
such other relief as the case may require.

   Let the prayer of the petition be granted and it is
further ordered that Sarah Pealer be confirmed as the
Natural Tutor & Johnson Malone be appointed Under Tutor
to the minor children of Randolph Pealer, late of the
State of Alabama, deceased to wit, George, Marion,
Fanny, Angeline & William Pealer upon taking the oath
required by law this 2nd Nov. 1847.

   I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully discharge
all and singular the duties incumbent on me as the
Natural Tutor to the minors George, Marion, Fanny,
Angeline & William Pealer to the best of my ability and
understanding.  So help me God.

   Sworn to and subscribed before me this 8th day of
November 1847.

   I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully discharge

   Whereas Johnson Malone a resident of the Parish of
Union, Louisiana has been appointed Under tutor to the
minor children of Randolph Pealer, decd. to wit George,

therefore he is hereby fully authorized  empower to do
all & singular the acts & things appertaining to said
appointment according to law.
   Given under my hand & the seal of the said Court
this 2nd day of Nov. 1847,
