Now therefore he is hereby authorized and empowered to discharge and perform all and singular the duties appertaining to said appointment according to law. The petition of Alexis Pevito, Tutor of Modesto, Augustus, Adaline and Jerome Pevito, minor children of Augustus Pevito issue by his marriage with Rosaline Goulett both deceased with respect represents unto your Honor that Francis and Josett Goulett died many years ago leaving a tract of land on Ouachitta River and the following heirs namely Francois Goulette, Caroline Goulette now the wife of David E. Allen, Alexis Goulette, Louis Goulette children of said Decedents and Edmand and Louis Goulette minor children of Gabriel Goulette and who was a son of the decedents and who have no Tutor yet confirmed, Edmund Colbrard minor son of Aspasia Goulette, decd. Who was a daughter of decedent who is represented by his Father Grammonet Cobrard confirmed as Natural Tutor to his minor child and the minor children of Rosaline Goulette represented by your petitioner. The mother being a daughter of said decedents. Petitioner further represents that the said tract of Land has been sold by an order of your Honorable Court to affect a partition and that the price is reduced to cash that he is desirous to have a partition and division of the money and final settlement of the Estate. He further represents that Mathew Wood is the owner of the shares of Francois Alexis and Caroline Goulett and represented by his agent Willis Wood. Wherefore he prays your Honor to appoint experts to partition said Estate amongst the heirs that a tutor ad hoc be appointed to represent the minor heirs of Gabriel Goulette and that notice be given to all parties interested and for general relief in the premises and as in duty bound &c. Bryan be appointed Experts to partition said Estate and that Philip May be appointed Tutor Ad Hoc to represent the minor children of Gabriel Goulette, Decd. And that the parties be legally notified. May, Tutor Ad Hoc We the undersigned experts appointed by the Honorable the probate Court in and for the Parish of Union, State of Louisiana, experts to partition the Estate of Francois and Josette Goulette among the Heirs report that we found the Estate to consist all together in money as follows to wit. The proceeds of the sale of the tract of land sold to Mathew Wood on the 13th day of October AD 1845 as per process. Verbal of Act of Sale $510.00 Interest from due on the several installments __86.00 Probate Judges fee advanced in money $75.00 596.00 Amount paid Francois Goulette in Cash $30.00 _105.00 To be divided among the Heirs $491.00 There is seven heirs as mentioned in the petition in partition each heir is entitled to $70.10 and as the whole consists in cash it is not necessary to form lots, but that each Heir shall take the amount of $70.10 as set forth above and as it is known that Mathew Wood is the owner of three shares of said Estate by purchase from the Heirs in now appears he takes three sevenths of the whole amount of said Estate amounting to $210.30. In testimony whereof we have hereunto signed our names in presence of the undersigned witnesses as Judge on the 4th day of May AD 1843 the two lines of interest earned before signing. Test: Thos. Bryan State of Louisiana Parish of Union We and each of us do solemnly swear that we will to the best of our knowledge and abilities partition the Estate of Francois & Josette Goulette amongst the heirs and assigns. John Taylor, Judge By reason of the Law and the evidence and by further reason of the report of Experts and the Heirs and assigns having joined in the prayer for partition and Homologation, it is ordered, adjudged and decreed by the Court that the above reports of Experts be allowed, approved and Homologated and it is further ordered that the heirs and assigns partake as therein set forth.
