The transcription below is done exactly as it was recorded in the original book. ================================================================================== ================================================================================== To the Honorable the Judge of the Parish Court in and for the Parish of Union, State of Louisiana. The petition of Charles H. Raley, a resident of your said Parish and State with respect represent that he is Natural Tutor to his following named minor children, Mary, Virginia, John David, Charles W., Jefferson J., Cornelia E., and Marion Wickliff Raley the issue of his marriage with Sarah M. Stewart. Petitioner represents that the said minors are heirs at law of a small estate inherited by their mother from her Aunt Elizabeth Huldy Amberton, late of Ouachita Parish, La. Petitioner represents that the interest of said minors is said Estate requires that he should be confirmed by your Honorable Court a Natural Tutor aforesaid to represent them therein. Wherefore he prays that an order may issue from your Honorable Court recognizing and confirming him as Natural Tutor to his above mentioned minor children, that [blank] be appointed Under Tutor of said minors and for all further orders and decrees necessary in the premises and for general relief &c. Raley be and he is hereby appointed Natural Tutor to his following named minor children to wit: Mary V., John D., Charles W., Jefferson J., Cornelia E. and Marion Wickliff Raley, heirs of the Estate of Sarah Ann Griffin, Deceased and that [blank] be and he is appointed Under Tutor to said minors. Raley has been duly and legally appointed and confirmed as Natural Tutor of his following name minor heirs of the Estate of Sarah Ann Griffin, Deceased to wit: Mary V., John D., Charles W., Cornelia E., Jefferson J., and Marion Wickliff Raley and he has taken the oath prescribed by law. Now, therefore, the said Chas. N. Raley is hereby duly and legally authorized and empowered to do and perform all the acts appertaining to the said appointment according to law.
