Reeves Petition: Filed [blank] To the Hon. R. B. Dawkins, Judge of the Fourth Judicial District Court of Louisiana, holding sessions in and for Union Parish. The petition of Floyd K. Reeves, a resident of said Parish and State, with respect shown; That petitioner was born on the 21st day of April in the year 1887, of the marriage of Newton Reeves and Martha a. Reeves, that therefore he is still a minor, but over the age of eighteen years; that he desires to be emancipated and relieved of all the time prescribed by law for attaining the age of majority; that petitioner is now working for himself and has been since he was eighteen years old, with the consent of his father and mother, and it is desirable for the successful prosecution of his business that he should be fully emancipated; that he is fully capable of managing his own affairs; that he annexes hereto the written assent of his said father and mother, as required by law. Wherefore petitioner prays that he be fully emancipated and relieved of all the disabilities which attaché to minors, and that he be given full power to do and perform all acts as fully as if he had attained the age of twenty-one years complete. Prays for all other necessary orders, for general and equitable relief etc. Price, Roberts & Elder Attorneys for petitioner I believe that my son Floyd K. Considering the petition and assent on file, and after hearing the evidence, the court being satisfied that the petition is fully capable of administering his own affairs; it is ordered, adjudged and decreed that petitioner, Floyd K. Reeves be fully emancipated and relieved of all the abilities which attach to minors, with full power to do and perform all acts as fully as if he had attained the full age of twenty one years.
