The petition of Lem Briggs, a resident of Union Parish, La. with respect would represent unto hour Honl. Court that Qually Remberts, Sr. departed this life in your said Parish on or about the first day of December 1887, leaving a small Estate in your said Parish consisting of both real and personal property and also owing debts and that he died intestate. Petitioner avers that an Administration of said estate is necessary and he makes this his application to be appointed Administrator of said Estate in the name of himself as a son-in-law of said deceased, in the name of his wife Ann Briggs, a daughter of decd. and in the name of Perthina Rembert, the widow and surviving spouse of decd. and at the request of the balance of the female heirs of decd. and by consent of Alex Rembert the male child and heir of decd. all agreeing that your petitioner be appointed Administrator of said estate and delegating to him the right thereof. Wherefore petitioner prays that this his application be advertised and public notice be given hereof for ten days as the law requires, that W. W. Heard, a Notary Public in and for Union parish be ordered and commanded to take an inventory of all the property belonging to said Estate and due returns make according to law. And finally that he be appointed Administrator of said Estate, be permitted qualify as such and that his bond be fixed and that letters of Administration issue to him in accordance with law. She prays for all orders necessary in the premises and for general relief, etc. Everett & Everett Attys. of petitioners The above and foregoing petition and application for Administration considered, it is ordered that public notice by advertisement be given as the law requires, that W. W. Heard, a Notary Public in and for Union parish be and he is hereby ordered to take an inventory of all the property etc. belonging to the Estate of Qually Remberts, Sr. Decd. situated in Union Parish and due returns make thereof according to law and if there be no opposition made to this appointment and filed in ten days as the law requires, then let this applicant be appointed Administrator of said Estate, be permitted to qualify as such and letters of Administration issue to him upon his filing his bond as the law requires.
