Dist. Court in and for the Parish of Union, Louisiana. The petition of Daniel Tucker Tutor to Mary Eliza and John D. Rodgers now a resident of said Parish and State respectfully represents unto your honor that the following is a true statement of his account for 1859 with said minors as follows: For slaves belonging to the said minors having been affiliated with sickness have now been hired out during this year but have on the contrary required extraordinary car and attention. So that there is no charge to be entered against him on tutor for this year. He prays credit as follows: For Mary Eliza Board, clothing and for the year at $6 per month $72.00 One half expense on taking care of sick negro and medical bills 15.00 One half of taxes on property belonging to minors 2.96 One half of attys. fee for the account __2.50 Amount of credit due tutor as per last account 92.46 Account __287.43 Credit due tutor $379.89 In account with John David board &c for the year At $6.00 per month $72.00 One half of care and attention to sick slaves 15.00 One half taxes for property 2.96 One half attorneys fees for this account __2.50 92.46 Balance due tutor as per last account __281.43 Amount due tutor $373.89 Which account shows the account of petitioner with said minors up to the first day of January AD 1860. Petitioner prays that Samuel L. Robinson Undertutor be duly cited to examine them and if no objections be made thereto that it be homolgated and allowed according to law and for general relief. H. The petition of David Tucker, Tutor to Mary Eliza and John Rogers, minors, resident of said parish and State represents unto your Honor that the following is a true statement of his account for 1859 with said minors as follows: The slave belonging to said minor having been off with sickness have not been hired out during this year, but have on the contrary required extraordinary care and attention, so that there is no charge to be entered against him as Tutor for this year.
